  潤物無聲,花開有意。為了讓更多的家長近距離了解孩子的校園學(xué)習(xí)與生活,上海托馬斯實(shí)驗(yàn)學(xué)校初中部于12月26日舉行了教學(xué)成果體驗(yàn)活動。本次活動分為校內(nèi)體驗(yàn)和線上直播兩種方式,“零距離”體驗(yàn)上海托馬斯課堂的專業(yè)性與多元化,感受生發(fā)著青春故事的校園文化。雖然,正值上海的寒冬,但家長們的到來給校園增添了暖意。

  In order to let more parents get a closer look at students' school learning and life, Shanghai Thomas Experimental School Middle School held a teaching achievement experience activity on December 26. This event is divided into two methods: on-campus experience and online live broadcast.

校領(lǐng)導(dǎo)致辭

  At the beginning of the event, Principal Jiang and Principal Zhou gave a detailed introduction from “Why Choose Thomas” to show the life of students on campus.A comprehensive and detailed introduction by the principals and teachers of the Middle School allowed parents to understand clearly the philosophy and purpose of the STS Middle School, the school’s educational resources, and the “one axis and two wings” curriculum system.

  優(yōu)秀的辦學(xué)理念離不開教師課內(nèi)外的運(yùn)用實(shí)踐。初中部語文學(xué)科組長郭琎老師、英語學(xué)科組長陸明娟老師以及STEAM課程N(yùn)ikola老師就初中部教學(xué)的新樣態(tài)進(jìn)行了具體的展示。

  Excellent education concepts cannot be separated from teachers' practice inside and outside the classroom. Teacher Guo Jing, Chinese subject group leader, Lu Mingjuan, English subject group leader, and Nikola (STEM teacher) gave a full display of the new style of teaching in the Middle School.

  語文課程豐富充實(shí)的古詩文拓展、雙管齊下的精讀泛讀、詩意盎然的日記創(chuàng)作、靜心領(lǐng)悟的一文三改、激趣突破的課前演講、因事悟理的辯論采訪、多育并舉的劇本展演、形式多樣的特色作業(yè)等等無一不體現(xiàn)了托馬斯教學(xué)的“全人教育”原則。在宣講中,翰林詩社的“小詩人”們意氣風(fēng)發(fā)地朗誦了熱情洋溢、充滿想象力的原創(chuàng)詩歌:《青春》《咖啡店在云上》《勝利》等,小詩人們的激情感染了臺下的老師和家長們。

  Chinese courses include a range of activities: a substantial expansion of ancient poems, intensive and extensive reading, poetic diaries, three revisions of one essay, pre-class lectures with exciting breakthroughs, debate interviews based on facts and reason, and multi-educational script exhibitions. These and various forms of homework all embody the “holistic education” approach of teaching here at Thomas. In the lecture, the “l(fā)ittle poets” of the Hanlin Poetry Club recited enthusiastic and imaginative original poems such as “Youth”, “Coffee Shop on the Cloud”, “Victory”, and others.

  英語教學(xué)融語言、思維、文化為一體,從語義內(nèi)容和語言特點(diǎn)等多元視角深入解讀語篇,不僅以思維導(dǎo)圖梳理文本脈絡(luò),更以多元視角培養(yǎng)學(xué)生高階思維,促成學(xué)科核心素養(yǎng)的形成。隨著陸老師的介紹,高潮迭起的舞臺還迎來了托馬斯學(xué)生戲劇團(tuán)表演的經(jīng)典英文劇《仲夏夜之夢》,小演員們用流利的英文傳情達(dá)意,將詼諧幽默的戲中戲展現(xiàn)得淋漓盡致。背后都體現(xiàn)出校園環(huán)境和文化賦予給孩子們的教育契機(jī),STS老師們的演繹“一生一方案、因材施教”的耐心教育和智慧管理,體現(xiàn)“尊重,公平,激活,共生”育人理念。

  English teaching integrates language, thinking, and culture. It not only uses mind maps to sort out the context of the text, but also cultivates students' higher-order thinking from multiple perspectives, and promotes the formation of core literacy of the subject . With the introduction of Mrs. Lu, the climax of the stage also ushered in the classic English drama “A Midsummer Night's Dream” performed by students from the Drama Club. STS teachers’ interpretation of “a plan for a student, teaching students in accordance with their aptitude” embodies the education concept of “respect, fairness, activation, and symbiosis”.

  隨著Nikola老師的介紹,家長們走進(jìn)了STS的 STEAM特色課程以及PBL項(xiàng)目式學(xué)習(xí), 3D打印機(jī)、智能機(jī)器人、最具創(chuàng)意的智能編程、學(xué)生電視臺......各種酷炫的項(xiàng)目,互動媒體藝術(shù)STS應(yīng)有盡有;外教們教授的PBL項(xiàng)目式學(xué)習(xí)和生物、化學(xué)、物理的多學(xué)科融合課程使學(xué)生們的實(shí)驗(yàn)探究角度精彩多樣。學(xué)生自己親手設(shè)計(jì)和制作的節(jié)能環(huán)保住宅令人印象深刻。雙師教學(xué)也能讓學(xué)生真正感受“修德、立人、行世界”和“雙師、雙語、雙文化”的內(nèi)涵與真諦。

  Foreign teacher Nikola introduced STS’s STEAM special courses and project-based learning, 3D printers, intelligent robots, the most creative intelligent programming, student TV stations, and so on.   百聞不如一見,六年級韓秋憶家長的爸爸娓娓道來了孩子這一學(xué)期在STS所經(jīng)歷的奇妙變化,課前預(yù)習(xí)習(xí)慣、閱讀習(xí)慣、作業(yè)習(xí)慣、孩子的學(xué)習(xí)主動性和興趣愛好都發(fā)生了積極的變化和提升,如今的變化,我只能用“高興”二字來形容了”韓爸爸欣慰地說到。教育無小事,韓爸爸分享的每一個細(xì)節(jié)背后都體現(xiàn)出STS老師們的育人耐心和熱情。發(fā)揮“小班化優(yōu)勢”關(guān)注到每一個學(xué)生的脈搏,訓(xùn)練到每一個學(xué)生英語口語和技能提升,激活學(xué)生求知欲和內(nèi)在潛能,給每一個學(xué)生適合的發(fā)展路徑,真正做到“全人教育”是初中部每一位老師的共識。

  Han Qiuyi’s father from sixth grade spoke about the wonderful changes the child has experienced in STS this semester. In view of the positive changes and improvements he said, “I can only use the word “happy” to describe the changes nowadays.” He mentioned the “small class advantage” which help train each student to improve their oral English and skills, stimulate students' curiosity, and develop their inner potential.

  當(dāng)家長們在星空廳聆聽時,孩子們同步參加了STS快樂體驗(yàn)活動。英數(shù)游戲、生物觀察、科技制作、趣味體育、英語游戲、STEAM探索、藝術(shù)創(chuàng)意,有張有弛、生動活潑的課程讓孩子們沉浸其中,記憶多多。

  While the parents were listening to the introduction, the children simultaneously participated in our STS experience activities. English and mathematics games, biological observation, technological production, fun sports, English games, STEAM exploration, and artistic creativity all featured.
