　　Here at Magnolia, we have all come from different ships, but now we’re in the same boat--literally!

　　For our Wonderful Travels of the Seas field trip, students went to the scenic Chang Feng Park and set sail on a course full of exploration and exercise.

　　After a short bus ride and no less than a hundred “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” renditions, the cheerful instructors met us at the entrance and we began our adventure. The coaches explained boat safety, the proper grips and techniques for using the oars, then had the children replicate the necessary movements to get the kayaks in motion.

　　在瑪諾利婭，我們都乘坐過各種不同的船，但現(xiàn)在我們在同一條船上——真的!

　　在我們精彩的夏令營——海洋之旅中，上海黃浦區(qū)民辦瑪諾利婭主題幼兒園的孩子們來到風(fēng)景秀麗的長風(fēng)公園，開始充滿探索和體能挑戰(zhàn)的皮劃艇之旅。

　　經(jīng)過短暫的車程和不少于一百遍的“Row, Row, Row Your Boat”之后，皮劃艇教練已經(jīng)早早在入口處迎接我們，就這樣，我們開始了一天的冒險(xiǎn)。教練們向大家們講解了皮劃艇的安全性、正確的握拍方法和使用槳的技巧，然后讓大家模仿劃船的動作。

　　And what a workout it was! The children paddled over 2 kilometers, under bridges and alongside trees, plants and flowers with their friends and teachers.

　　這是多好的鍛煉啊!孩子們和老師們一起在湖面上劃了2公里多、大家經(jīng)過各種橋洞、大小不一的樹木、各色各樣的花草。

　　“Look it’s a dragonfly!” “I see butterflies, too!” “Let’s go faster!” the children exclaimed.

　　“看，這是一只蜻蜓!“我看見蝴蝶了!“我們劃快點(diǎn)!”孩子們驚呼道。

　　ack near the docks, children found another use for the oars: splashing paddles! Everyone welcomed the refreshing water thrown upon them under the warm sun, and all were eager to “help” their classmates and teachers cool-off.

　　回到碼頭附近，孩子們發(fā)現(xiàn)了槳的另一個(gè)用途：利用船槳濺起水花!每個(gè)人都沉浸在陽光下，享受那份激起水花的興奮感，所有孩子都非常主動地“幫助”他們的伙伴和老師降溫。

　　As it was once said, “A boat is safe in harbor, but this is not the purpose of a boat.” Our school believes in the importance of connecting students with nature and providing meaningful experiences outside of the traditional classroom. We prepare children for the world by teaching them how to respect the environment around them and how to navigate the seas of life.

　　正如人們曾經(jīng)說過的，“船是安全的港灣，但這并不是船的目的?！蔽覀儗W(xué)校相信將學(xué)生與自然聯(lián)系起來并在傳統(tǒng)課堂之外提供有意義的體驗(yàn)是尤為重要的。我們教孩子們?nèi)绾巫鹬刂車沫h(huán)境，如何在生命的海洋中航行，讓他們?yōu)檫@個(gè)世界隨時(shí)做好充分準(zhǔn)備。出發(fā)吧，孩子們，讓我們拿起船槳，掌握自己的方向，去尋求各種探險(xiǎn)。Row, Row, Row Your Boat!!!
