十二月的上海，寒意料峭。天氣雖清冷，但在這冬日里，我們卻被一首歌打動，被一支曲鼓舞，在愛與音樂的國度中幸福地徜徉。

在2021的最后一天，讓我們跟隨教科EMW的冬季音樂會，一起回顧2021，迎接2022！

In this chilly winter, SUIS JKEMW community immersed in warmth and love and enjoyed the Winter Music Recital 2021. It is a traditional way at SUIS JKEMW to celebrate the New Year, connect our community and express blessings.

-音樂的盛宴 祈愿2022-

2021協(xié)和教科EMW冬季音樂會以直播的方式在云端和各位家長見面。經(jīng)過數(shù)周的排練，來自不同年級的優(yōu)秀音樂家們?yōu)榧议L、老師和同學傾情呈現(xiàn)了一場高水準的音樂盛宴。經(jīng)典的管弦合奏、優(yōu)雅的爵士樂、靈動的舞蹈、優(yōu)美的合唱，精彩紛呈的表演無不彰顯著融合學子們的多才多藝，為大家?guī)チ藙e樣的冬日溫暖與快樂。

To keep our community safe, the Music Recital was live streamed to parents and family members. After several weeks of rehearsal, our students put on a rich repertoire of performances. Classic orchestral ensembles, dynamic jazz band, dance troupe, choral works and guitar performances all made for a stunning show that celebrated the diversity of talent at SUIS JKEMW.

來自8MW的Oscar Cai用一首吉他獨奏奏響了音樂會的序章。

Oscar Cai from 8MW kicked off the recital with a solo guitar performance.

舞蹈社團的同學們將現(xiàn)代舞與芭蕾有機地融合，以舞蹈承載他們的夢想，向每一顆年輕的心展示著厚積薄發(fā)的力量。

The dance presented by Dance Troupe perfectly blended modern dance and classical ballet, full of verve and vitality.

由Mr. Hollingsworth指導的爵士樂團將念白、歌聲和音樂完美呈現(xiàn)。在酣暢淋漓的律動下，Cindy Fan (7EM)將自己創(chuàng)作的詩歌娓娓道來，那股力量直擊人心。

The performance of the Jazz Band led by Mr. Hollingsworth integrated poetry, singing and music. With the dynamic rhythm, Cindy Fan read the poem that she wrote. The power of the show hit everyone's heart.

我們的融合學子不僅會寫詩，還會寫rap。6RH的Kyra Wang用說唱和音樂探討并表達了她對生活和未來的思考。

EMWers can not only write poems, but also write raps. Through the rap created by Kyra Wang (6RH), we could see her ideas and thoughts about life and future.

隨后，弦樂團、合唱團、吉他樂團等表演輪番上陣，為觀眾們呈現(xiàn)出不一樣的聽覺盛宴?？吹組s. Bell和Mr. Martindale出現(xiàn)在弦樂團中，優(yōu)雅地拉奏著小提琴，觀眾們驚喜萬分。合唱團多元的選曲延展了觀眾對合唱的豐富想象，也體現(xiàn)出融合學子極具個性的藝術主張。而來自吉他社團的同學們帶來的“踏山河”更是引得全場齊聲合唱，哪里看得出他們都只是吉他初學者而已！

Then, the audience enjoyed a variety of wonderful performances. They were surprised to see Ms. Bell and Mr. Martindale playing the violin gracefully together with the students. The choir enthralled us with a wide range of repertoire and was a pleasure to listen to. And the "Ta Shan He" brought by the Guitar Ensemble was so delighting that the audience couldn't stop singing together with the music. It’s hard to believe they are just guitar beginners.

來自8MW和7LM的兩支學生樂隊更是將現(xiàn)場氣氛推向了高潮。臺下的老師和同學們紛紛舉起雙手隨著音樂一起舞動節(jié)拍。

The performances of the rock bands from 8MW and 7LM pushed the event to a climax. The teachers and students raised their hands and clapped with the beats.

最后，音樂會在全場齊唱SUIS SPIRIT SONG的歡樂氣氛中緩緩落下帷幕。這首歌是所有參加“歌曲創(chuàng)作拓展課”的同學，在音樂老師Mr. Hollingsworth的指導下，共同編寫和創(chuàng)作而成的。它的旋律靈動，節(jié)奏輕快，唱出了融合學子對協(xié)和教科EMW的4C精神的理解，表達了他們作為協(xié)和社群一員的驕傲和自豪。

Finally, the show came to an end in the joyous singing SUIS SPIRIT SONG. It was made by Mr. Hollingsworth and his Songwriting ECA students. The song has a lively melody and a brisk rhythm and expresses the students' understanding of the 4C ethos of SUIS JKEMW, and their pride to be a member of the SUIS community.

2021協(xié)和教科EMW冬季音樂會圓滿結束了，每一曲精彩律動的音樂背后，都是所有指導老師和表演學生們用心排練的成果。感謝Ms. Barton為整場演出的辛苦付出，在這幾周里統(tǒng)籌和把控每一個細節(jié)，力求為觀眾呈現(xiàn)最高質量的年終盛宴！感謝Mr. Hollingsworth指導學生的音樂表演！感謝所有為本次演出能順利進行的臺前幕后的工作人員！

SUIS JKEMW Winter Music Recital 2021 was a huge success because of the dedication of our performers and involvement of our teachers who helped in organizing the event. The Music Department went above and beyond to make the musical recital a wonderful culminating show. Thank you, Ms. Barton! Thank you, Mr. Hollingsworth! And we want to thank all our students and staff for creating such a wonderful event!

這是融合學子為大家準備的音樂獻禮，也是他們熱愛音樂、不斷成長的最好見證！

冬季音樂會，讓我們再一次感受到音樂教育的意義，并不是讓每一個孩子成為音樂家、舞蹈家，而是通過音樂這個媒介讓他們學會如何成為更好的自己。

This is a gift from EMWers to celebrate the new year, and it is also the best testimony of their love for music and continuous growth!

The Winter Music Recital shows the meaning of music education, not to make every child a musician or a dancer, but to help them learn how to become better through music.
