We want our students to be able to make the right choices. To do so, you need to gather the relevant information. Our Year 9 students will embark next school year on a two-year subject-specific curriculum known as the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) at the end of which they will sit a series of examinations. They will have to determine and carefully choose which additional subjects they are interested in and what they would like to build upon in their educational career. At YCIS Beijing we adopt the Cambridge Assessment International Education as our examination board which is the largest and most established IGCSE provider in the world.

北京耀中希望學(xué)生可以選擇并學(xué)習(xí)他們真正喜歡的課程。9年級(jí)的學(xué)生們下學(xué)年即將迎來(lái)兩年的IGCSE課程（國(guó)際普通中學(xué)教育文憑考試課程），為此我們舉辦了 iGCSE選修課程介紹會(huì)來(lái)幫助他們提前了解相關(guān)的信息。學(xué)生們需要特別慎重地決定自己感興趣的選修科目并考慮所選科目對(duì)未來(lái)學(xué)術(shù)發(fā)展的影響。劍橋大學(xué)國(guó)際考評(píng)部是全球最大最成熟的考試機(jī)構(gòu)，也是我們北京耀中的IGCSE考試合作機(jī)構(gòu)。

Our IGCSE Co-ordinator Ms Carey Friia set up a Course Options Fair for our Year 9 students and their parents to ask questions and gather information about the IGCSE course programme itself, each coursework’s content, its aims, assessment, and examination requirements. The IGCSE programme at YCIS Beijing encompasses Art and Design, Computer Science, Design and Technology, Drama, Economics, Enterprise, History, ICT, Korean, Music, and Physical Education of which our students can choose three subjects to study in-depth depending on their major interests and abilities. This programme also ties in with the IB Diploma which students will follow after the completion of the IGCSE course.

我們學(xué)校的IGCSE課程主管Carey Friia老師為9年級(jí)的學(xué)生和家長(zhǎng)舉辦了選修課程介紹會(huì)，讓學(xué)生和家長(zhǎng)可以通過(guò)提問(wèn)、收集信息來(lái)了解IGCSE課程項(xiàng)目。信息包括但不限于每門(mén)學(xué)科的學(xué)習(xí)目的、評(píng)估和考試要求。北京耀中的IGCSE課程包含藝術(shù)與設(shè)計(jì)、電腦科學(xué)、設(shè)計(jì)和科技、戲劇、經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)、企業(yè)學(xué)、歷史、信息與通信技術(shù)、韓語(yǔ)、音樂(lè)、體育，學(xué)生可以在豐富的學(xué)科選項(xiàng)中根據(jù)自己的興趣和能力選定最多3門(mén)選修課程學(xué)習(xí)。學(xué)生學(xué)完IGCSE課程需要進(jìn)入IB 國(guó)際文憑大學(xué)預(yù)科項(xiàng)目的學(xué)習(xí)，在北京耀中這兩個(gè)課程是互相銜接的。
