挪威藝術(shù)家愛德華?蒙克在藝術(shù)筆記里曾寫道:“我的每一筆都在捕捉那些壓倒性情感?!庇嗳A和蘇童們聊天時(shí)也提到最好的散文、最好的小說都會給人帶來一種“突襲感”。在我看來,無論是“壓倒性的情感”還是“突襲感”都潛藏在偉大的文學(xué)經(jīng)典中。因此在本學(xué)期的《看他們怎么寫:西方經(jīng)典文學(xué)整本書閱讀》項(xiàng)目中我設(shè)計(jì)了這樣一個任務(wù):希望學(xué)生用自己擅長的方式或者學(xué)習(xí)合適的表達(dá)方式去捕捉文學(xué)經(jīng)典中“那些壓倒性情感”。
正如繆紀(jì)洲同學(xué)在學(xué)習(xí)心得中所寫:“在這個學(xué)期里,我見證了聶赫留朵夫與瑪絲洛娃的又一次相遇,與他們靈魂復(fù)活的開始;也在蒸汽繚繞的維多利亞時(shí)代看到了底層童工對對社會壓迫的不屈;同時(shí)更是遠(yuǎn)赴重洋,來到拉丁美洲的馬孔多靜靜的注視著布恩迪亞家族在百年來所承受的全部孤獨(dú);最后化身為瓦列里在那座無人而又無法逃脫的孤城中,堅(jiān)強(qiáng)生存。有人說小說是杜撰的,是虛構(gòu)的,所以是不真實(shí)的。但我想小說是虛構(gòu)的,但也是真實(shí)的。馬孔多小鎮(zhèn)的故事是魔幻的,豬尾巴的男孩,傳染的失憶癥與失眠癥,最后卷走的小鎮(zhèn)的颶風(fēng)。這是荒誕的,但在這背后后的確實(shí)拉美人民痛苦掙扎的輪回。智利的阿連德總統(tǒng)手持AK與叛軍戰(zhàn)斗到最后一刻時(shí),在聯(lián)合果品底下的員工被壓迫時(shí),拉美的迷失靈魂還未找到歸宿時(shí)。圣地亞哥在下雨,整個南美都在下雨。書中的文字雖未寫道這場雨,但又都沾染著雨水的氣息。當(dāng)我寫小說時(shí),先前或許想著徹底的魔幻與生活完全的割裂,但寫下的文字卻又處處透露著我生活的影子。小說如夢?!?/p>
今天我們將奉上學(xué)生們在加西亞?馬爾克斯小說《百年孤獨(dú)》中所捕捉到的“那些壓倒性情感”,致敬這些如夢般突襲我們的經(jīng)典小說片段。本期作品分別來自趙宋琦、王圣蓉、劉奕伶、上田峻皓等同學(xué)。推文封面來自丁睿鑫同學(xué)作品《迷失》,推文封底來自賀泊聞同學(xué)作品《百年樹》。

插畫一:以“馬孔多所有的居民都在等待雨停后死去,一路上,他看見他們坐在廳堂里,眼神迷茫,抱手胸前,感受著渾然一體,未經(jīng)分割的時(shí)光在流逝。既然除了看雨再無事可做,那么將時(shí)光分為年月,將日子分為鐘點(diǎn)都終歸是徒勞?!钡亩温錇殪`感,繪畫了我想象的建筑以及人們的樣貌神態(tài)。
Illustration 1: "All the residents of Macondo died after waiting for the rain to stop. Along the way, he saw them sitting in the hall with confused eyes, holding their hands and chests, feeling that the undivided time was passing. Since there is nothing to do except to watch the rain, it is futile to divide time into years and days into hours. The paragraphs are inspired by painting the buildings I imagined and the appearances of people.
插畫二:以“在霧氣彌漫的隘道間,在注定被遺忘的時(shí)光中,在幻滅的迷宮里,他曾經(jīng)一度迷失方向。他穿過一片黃色荒原,在那里回聲重復(fù)著人類的所思所想,焦慮引出預(yù)示未來的蜃景。”為靈感,描繪了一幅心理活動的畫作。
Illustration 2: "In the foggy pass, in the time destined to be forgotten, in the disillusioned maze, he once lost his way. He crossed a yellow wilderness, where echoed human thoughts, and anxiety led to a mirage that heralded the future. As inspiration, a picture of psychological activity is depicted.

插畫一《黑蝶》:“那邊來了一個嚇人的東西,”她終于說道?!昂孟蟀擦溯喿拥膹N房,后面拖著一個村鎮(zhèn)。”在這片刻間,馬孔多被可怕的汽笛聲和噗哧噗哧的噴氣聲嚇得戰(zhàn)粟起來。馬孔多居民們從喧噪的汽笛聲和噴氣聲中清醒過來以后,都涌上街頭,看見了從機(jī)車上向他們招手致意的奧雷連諾·特里斯特,看見了第一次晚點(diǎn)幾個月的五彩繽紛的一列火車。這列樣子好看的黃色火車注定要給馬孔多帶來那么多的懷疑和肯定,帶來那么多的好事和壞事,帶來那多的變化、災(zāi)難和憂愁。
I think the description of Macondo's train is very representative. The train symbolizing capital will continue to erode the closed town of Macondo in the days to come. In the upper left corner of this picture is a white door, which symbolizes the "civilized society" at the beginning of the 20th century. When the train leaves the door, the exhaust gas is mixed with black butterflies. In South America, the black butterfly is a symbol of death, suggesting the banana tragedy in the near future. Along with the train is a crow, which is also a symbol of bad luck in Latin culture. In front of the house ordered to be painted blue in the upper right corner stood a woman looking into the distance, a painting by Julian Dupuho, who was watching the roaring giant from a distance. The young couple next to him came from Evening Bell, and they were praying that the roaring train would not bring disaster. The man who looked up beside the train was from Bruegel's The Fall of Icarus. The person in the lower left corner is from "Scream", that is, the woman who said in the text, "There is a scary thing over there, like a kitchen with wheels, and a village is dragging behind.". I think the painting of Shouting fits her image of shock, surprise and fear when she saw the train for the first time. There are three "cries", which mainly refer to Andy Warhol's artistic style and further enhance the feelings of cry and fear. On the right side, there is a looming eye of truth, symbolizing the beginning of the influence of the American capitalist force "Banana Company" on Macondo.

插畫一:畫出了我心目中的馬孔多。通過閱讀和了解可以知道馬孔多其實(shí)是拉丁美洲的縮影,那樣的生活應(yīng)該是飽受壓迫的,所以我選擇用冷色調(diào)來表現(xiàn)壓抑沉悶的感覺,加上飄飛的大雪,顯得更加的寂寥,也貼合了“孤獨(dú)”的主題。
