2011年，在雅禮中學(xué)建校105周年之際，為推動雅禮教育國際化進(jìn)程與高中教育多樣化發(fā)展，滿足不同潛質(zhì)學(xué)生教育需求,經(jīng)湖南省教育廳和長沙市教育局批準(zhǔn)雅禮中學(xué)成立國際部，肩負(fù)起“為社會與民族培養(yǎng)具備全球視野，適應(yīng)世界變革與發(fā)展的國際公民”的使命。
In 2011, the 105th anniversary of Yali High School, to promote the internationalization process of Yali education，to further the diversified development of high school education and to meet the educational needs of different candidates, Yali High School established the International Department. This was approved by the Hunan Provincial Educational Office and Changsha Education Bureau to undertake the mission of cultivating international citizens, for our society and nation, who are equipped with global vision and the ability to adapt to world reform and development.
雅禮中學(xué)國際部（以下簡稱YLID）堅持“為學(xué)生終身發(fā)展奠基”的辦學(xué)理念，匯聚國內(nèi)外優(yōu)質(zhì)師資，建立國際教育課程體系。YLID致力為學(xué)生“學(xué)習(xí)能力、身心健康、品行修養(yǎng)、國際視野、創(chuàng)新意識”的鍛煉與發(fā)展培育最為深厚的土壤，為世界著名高等學(xué)府輸送綜合素質(zhì)優(yōu)異、最具發(fā)展?jié)撡|(zhì)的未來人才。
Yali High School International Department (YLID) adheres to the educational philosophy?“l(fā)ay a foundation for students′?lifelong development”, attracts high-quality teachers at home and abroad, and has established an international education curriculum. YLID is devoted to cultivating students’?learning ability, physical and psychological health, moral sense, international perspective and innovative consciousness in order to provide candidates for world-class higher learning institutions with the most potential talents of excellent overall quality.
YLID目前已開設(shè)國內(nèi)高中基礎(chǔ)必修課程、初級、中級和高級國際英語課程、美國高中選修課程；AP（美國大學(xué)先修課程）、SAT（學(xué)術(shù)能力評估測試）考試備考課程、法語和西班牙語選修等課程，國內(nèi)外課程交相輝映，奠定學(xué)生堅實學(xué)識基礎(chǔ)以及在國外大學(xué)獲得學(xué)業(yè)成功的必備技能。
YLID has currently set up different courses such as the core compulsory courses for domestic high school, Fundamental, Intermediate & Advanced International English Courses, elective U.S. high school courses; AP (Advanced Placement) subjects, College Entrance Test Prep. Courses?for SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test), and optional courses for French or Spanish. These domestic and international courses interface with each other, helping the students to lay a solid foundation for their knowledge so that they develop the essential capabilities to be successful in their overseas study.
雅禮中學(xué)國際部目前共有管理人員、國內(nèi)課程骨干教師、國際課程外籍教師、SAT、國際英語老師、AP授課老師、學(xué)術(shù)指導(dǎo)老師和升學(xué)指導(dǎo)老師等中外教職員工共63位。教職員工均具有良好學(xué)術(shù)背景和相關(guān)國際教育領(lǐng)域較豐富工作經(jīng)驗，其中近一半國際課程教職員工具備碩士及以上學(xué)歷，超過一半員工具有海歸教育或工作背景。
The number of YLID Staff and faculty is 63, including managerial personnel, Chinese core courses teachers, International courses foreign teachers, SAT, International English teachers, AP teachers, Academic Advisors, and Counselors. All faculty has superb educational backgrounds as well as a wealth of experience working in international education. Almost half of our faculty have earned masterdegrees and abovein their related field, and more than half of our faculty members have actual experience studyingor workingoverseas.
自2015年起，雅禮中學(xué)國際部每學(xué)年招收學(xué)生約100名，目前高一至高三共280位在讀學(xué)生。師生比為1:4。YLID學(xué)生由學(xué)校及年級組統(tǒng)一管理，生活與學(xué)習(xí)在被稱為“個性海洋”的校園里，接受雅禮百余年圓融中西文明而衍生出的特有文化熏陶。32個學(xué)生社團(tuán)、豐富多彩的社會實踐、精彩紛呈的藝術(shù)體育賽事及頻繁的國際交流活動為素質(zhì)培養(yǎng)與視野開拓提供強力支撐。
Since 2015, YLID recruits about 100 students each academic year and currently there are 280 students enrolled across Senior 1, 2 and 3 classes. The teacher-student ratio is 1:4. The students of YLID, under the unified management of school leaders and their grade group, live and study in a school environment known as“the ocean of personality”, enjoying the special culture that has grown up around Yali over the course of more than 100 years of integrated Chinese and Western civilization. It consists of 32 student associations, offering students a rich social practice, various art and sports events and frequent international exchange activities. All of which provide additional superior support for quality cultivation and broadening of horizons for all students.
在雅禮新百年征程中誕生的國際部，沿著歷史的榮光，在國際教育的征程將為雅禮續(xù)寫下一個百年增添輝煌。
The last century′s journey has seen the International Department emerge alongside Yali’s historic reputation and both the journey and the partnership of the International Department and Yali will continue to thrive, seeing further brilliant achievements into the next century of international education history.
