肯特州立大學(xué)是中國教育部首批認可推薦的美國百年名校之一，該校建校于1910年，成立之初為肯特師范學(xué)院，之后于1930年代成為公立大學(xué)。由八個校區(qū)構(gòu)成，肯特是全美最大的地方性教育體系之一，在俄亥俄州規(guī)模前三。權(quán)威的《美國新聞和世界報道》將肯特評為全美綜合研究型大學(xué)200強之一。以其綜合優(yōu)勢，《PrincetonReview》多年來把肯特譽為“最佳中西部大學(xué)”之一，這足以證明其教學(xué)和研究方面的雄厚實力。
大學(xué)位于俄亥俄州肯特市作為一個大學(xué)城，景色優(yōu)美，享有“樹之城”的美譽?？咸厥械乩砦恢脙?yōu)越，交通便利，毗鄰東海岸主要城市。
