肯特州立大學(xué)是中國(guó)教育部首批認(rèn)可推薦的美國(guó)百年名校之一，該校建校于1910年，成立之初為肯特師范學(xué)院，之后于1930年代成為公立大學(xué)。由八個(gè)校區(qū)構(gòu)成，肯特是全美最大的地方性教育體系之一，在俄亥俄州規(guī)模前三。權(quán)威的《美國(guó)新聞和世界報(bào)道》將肯特評(píng)為全美綜合研究型大學(xué)200強(qiáng)之一。以其綜合優(yōu)勢(shì)，《PrincetonReview》多年來(lái)把肯特譽(yù)為“最佳中西部大學(xué)”之一，這足以證明其教學(xué)和研究方面的雄厚實(shí)力。
