上學(xué)期末,中學(xué)部鄧?yán)蠋?、潘老師和袁老師一起組織了一場為期兩天的“學(xué)科拓展日”,為中學(xué)部的學(xué)生們提供了一次“沉浸式學(xué)習(xí)”的機(jī)會。
組織活動的老師們希望通過手工制作、舞蹈學(xué)習(xí)、歷史桌游等寓教于樂的活動將學(xué)科內(nèi)知識遷移到學(xué)科外,潛移默化中完成知識點(diǎn)的鞏固和拓展。
組織活動的三位老師談到組織活動的初衷也是想擺脫單一的課堂學(xué)習(xí),讓同學(xué)們發(fā)現(xiàn)學(xué)科知識的有趣之處。服飾、妝造等都與歷史、藝術(shù)有著密不可分的關(guān)聯(lián),通過親身體驗(yàn),學(xué)生們能有不一樣的感悟。
Day 1學(xué)科拓展日的第一天,是唐朝和中世紀(jì)兩個(gè)主題的系列學(xué)習(xí),學(xué)生們各自選擇一個(gè)感興趣的主題進(jìn)行深度參與。除此以外,老師們還聯(lián)系了閔行區(qū)科委,通過航空科技活動,讓科普進(jìn)校園。

唐朝主題里,有五個(gè)項(xiàng)目可供學(xué)生們選擇,唐代掐絲技藝傳習(xí)、古代步搖技藝傳習(xí)、漢唐古典舞傳習(xí)、古代妝造技藝傳習(xí)、漢唐服飾制作及試穿。
選擇漢唐服飾項(xiàng)目的同學(xué),不只是簡單的體驗(yàn)試穿唐裝漢服,而是由老師跟他們講解每一款服飾的設(shè)計(jì)理念、穿搭方法,再請學(xué)生選擇合適的服飾穿上。
老師還會拓展服飾背后的文化、禮節(jié),學(xué)生們化身為古人后,學(xué)禮節(jié),玩投壺,親身感受了一番古人情趣。

中世紀(jì)主題則包含了:中世紀(jì)騎士盔甲道具服制作、中世紀(jì)城堡探究、桌游和歷史劇本殺三個(gè)項(xiàng)目。
選擇騎士盔甲制作的同學(xué)們首先會觀看一部視頻,了解騎士的歷史、演變以及背后的文化。然后分工合作,利用EVA材料制作一個(gè)真人等身大小的盔甲,在這過程中,同學(xué)們需要一起剪貼、噴涂,相互配合。

而在城堡探究項(xiàng)目中,同學(xué)們不僅可以探索城堡的構(gòu)造、城堡功能,還會分工合作剪拼出立體紙城堡。
經(jīng)過他們的努力,遠(yuǎn)在德國的新天鵝堡也來到了他們身邊。
通過一天的“身臨其境”,同學(xué)們能獲得寶貴的第一手經(jīng)驗(yàn),有機(jī)會去發(fā)現(xiàn)、拓展自己感興趣的方向,找到學(xué)習(xí)的自驅(qū)力。
學(xué)科拓展日的第二天,是由學(xué)生們自己組織、宣傳的學(xué)科競賽:唐詩大會和數(shù)學(xué)大賽。四個(gè)學(xué)院各派了代表“出戰(zhàn)”,寓教于樂,在“對戰(zhàn)”過程中,幫助同學(xué)們加深古詩詞記憶,對數(shù)學(xué)知識點(diǎn)的融會貫通。唐詩大會考驗(yàn)的不僅是同學(xué)們在古詩方面的積累,還有專注力和臨場反應(yīng)能力。根據(jù)關(guān)鍵字背誦詩句、限定主題的飛花令、詩句填空等,每一次答題都要爭分奪秒,絲毫都松懈不得。
場上的選手們答題答得熱火朝天,場下的觀眾也沒有閑著,偶爾還會被主持人邀請答題,參與感滿滿。
數(shù)學(xué)大賽的激烈程度與唐詩大會相比更是不遑多讓,腦子和手總有一個(gè)是在飛速運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)中,慢了一秒,冠軍就可能花落別家。
現(xiàn)場有多熱烈,光用文字和圖片無法表達(dá),不如一起看看同學(xué)們當(dāng)時(shí)的精彩表現(xiàn),感受他們的青春洋溢。
課堂是學(xué)生們收獲知識的重要途徑,但學(xué)習(xí)卻不應(yīng)該僅僅只在課堂。
學(xué)科拓展日通過一個(gè)個(gè)學(xué)生們感興趣的活動,鼓勵他們團(tuán)隊(duì)合作、動手實(shí)踐,使學(xué)生們在參與的過程中水到渠成般地把知識點(diǎn)運(yùn)用到實(shí)際中,在“玩”中學(xué),達(dá)到了學(xué)習(xí)就像呼吸一樣自然的效果。
這也是德閎一直追求的面向未來的教育理念,幫助學(xué)生學(xué)會學(xué)習(xí),任何時(shí)候都不懼變化,擁抱變化。
Workshop
At the end of last semester, our Middle School teachers Phoebe, Mia and Carol led a two-day workshop together to provide middle school students the opportunity of “immersion learning”.
The workshop is organized to help students transfer the knowledge learnt in the classes to the outside of the classes through various forms such as making handcraft, reading, dancing and playing games, to connect and expand the knowledge in a subtle way.
They mentioned that ‘the purpose of organizing those activities is to get rid of boring classroom learning and enable students discover the interesting aspects of subject knowledge. Clothing, makeup, etc. are closely related to history and art, students can always have different perceptions from my past experience.’
On the first day of the workshop, there are a series of studies on two themes- The Tang Dynasty and The Middle Ages. Each student chooses a topic of interest for in-depth participation.
For Tang Dynasty, the teacher also expands the culture and etiquette behind the costumes. After the students become “ancients”, they would learn etiquette and play pitch-pot game to experience the feel of the ancients.
For Middle Ages, in the castle exploration project, students can not only explore the structure and functions of the castle, but also work together to cut out a three-dimensional paper castle. After their efforts, Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany showed up in front of them vividly.
Through a one-day "immersive experience", students can gain valuable first-hand experience, can discover, and expand their own interests, and find the driving force for learning.
On the second day of the workshop, it’s the exciting Tang poetry conference and math contest, each of the four houses sent representatives to "play".
Tested by Tang Poetry Conference not only the accumulation of the students in ancient poems, but there is also the ability to concentrate and react on the spot.
Compared with the Tang Poetry Conference, the intensity of the mathematics competition is probably more intensive. Both the brains and hands are always running hot during the competition. The championship may be lost to another house, if you are not paying 100% attention.

Learning in classroom is an important way for students to obtain knowledge, but learning is also beyond classroom.
The workshop encourages teamwork and hands-on practice through activities students are interested and engaged, which enables students to apply their knowledge into practice.
