At the end of the school year, we had the chance to sit down with a few YCIS Shanghai Class of 2021 graduates to hear about their experiences at the school. Every student in the year has some great stories to tell, and it is always fascinating to hear about their journeys at YCIS Shanghai, whether they spent one year or 16 years at our school. This time, we hear from students Hayley (YCIS Pudong) and Steven (YCIS Puxi), both of whom will matriculate at universities in the United States. 

上個(gè)學(xué)年結(jié)束之際，我們與上海耀中2021屆的幾位畢業(yè)生進(jìn)行了面對面交流，聽他們分享各自在學(xué)校的故事。每一位畢業(yè)生都不平凡，無論在我校學(xué)習(xí)生活一年，還是十六年，他們的上海耀中之旅都同樣精彩。今天，我們來聽一聽Hayley（上海耀中浦東校區(qū)）和Steven（上海耀中浦西校區(qū)）的故事，他們二位都被美國的知名大學(xué)所錄取。

Hayley spent a whopping 13 years at YCIS! While rock climbing during one of the Secondary Education Outside of the Classroom (EOTC) trips, she had to step out of her comfort zone and embody the “risk-taker” learner profile. Hayley found this to be a defining experience in her personal growth and is excited for the new challenges she will encounter studying Computer Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. 

Hayley在耀中學(xué)習(xí)、生活了整整十三年！在一次校外課堂活動(dòng) (EOTC)旅途中，她跨出舒適圈，首次嘗試攀巖，成為了一名敢于 “冒險(xiǎn)”的學(xué)習(xí)者。Hayley認(rèn)為，這次經(jīng)歷是她成長過程中的一個(gè)轉(zhuǎn)折點(diǎn)。不久后，她即將在約翰霍普金斯大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)計(jì)算機(jī)工程，對于將會(huì)遇到的挑戰(zhàn)，她感到無比興奮。

Over the river in Puxi, Steven joined YCIS Shanghai in Year 10 from a local school in Beijing and has spent the past four years studying IGCSE and IB and participating in various co-curricular activities. Steven experienced a lot of personal growth at YCIS Shanghai, and he was excited to talk about the leadership and character-building opportunities he had while at the school. He intends to bring those skills and confidence to Boston University, where he will be studying either Business or Economics in the autumn.

十年級(jí)時(shí)，Steven從北京一所學(xué)校轉(zhuǎn)學(xué)至上海耀中（浦西校區(qū)）。在學(xué)校的四年里，他先后學(xué)習(xí)了IGCSE課程和IB課程，并積極參加了各類課外活動(dòng)。上海耀中見證了Steven的一路成長，他也非常感謝學(xué)校對其領(lǐng)導(dǎo)力和性格塑造方面提供的幫助。今年秋天，他將在波士頓大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)商科或經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)，他也會(huì)把耀中教會(huì)他的自信和所有技能帶向大學(xué)。
