新年伊始，上海美高學校高中部傳來2023第一封喜訊，美高學子在“2023NEC全美經(jīng)濟學挑戰(zhàn)賽”斬獲多項大獎，晉級中國區(qū)總決賽！

At the beginning of the New Year, the first good news of 2023 came from Living Word Shanghai International High School. LWS students won a number of awards in the "2023 NEC National Economics Challenge" and advanced to the finals in China!

眾所周知，NEC全美經(jīng)濟學挑戰(zhàn)賽，作為極具影響力的中學生經(jīng)濟學學術活動，最重要的原因就是頂尖學術挑戰(zhàn), 助力名校申請！

As we all know, National Economics Challenge (NEC), is a very competitive academic activity of high school students, the most important reason is the top academic challenge, and will help them when applying to the top universities around the world!

在這場競爭激烈的國際競賽中，美高學子驚艷亮相，一舉斬獲多個重磅獎項！這其中，離不開經(jīng)濟老師Emily的辛勤輔導，離不開班主任老師的鼓勵，更離不開同學們的努力和付出，才開出了成功的花朵！

In this highly competitive international competition, our students made an amazing appearance and won a number of heavy awards! Among them, we can not do without the hard guidance of the economic teacher Emily, the encouragement of their homeroom teachers, and the efforts and efforts of the students!

Emily Zhang

This year our school has obtained amazing results in the National Economics Challenge competition that 14 students successfully finished the regional round and received the invitation for the national round. The main content in the competition is included in the Economic courses in the school, providing advantages for students to learn the materials beforehand. On the other hand, our students are self-motivated and strive to reach their full potential with a passion for Economics and challenges. They also demonstrated a collective spirit of fighting for the honor of the team. In the national competition, we believe that our students will enjoy more excitement and achieve even more outstanding results!

Participating in this competition not only helped me improve my knowledge of Economics, but also taught me many other important skills. For example, I learned how to work under pressure, how to collaborate effectively with a team, and how to succeed in the competition. These are all valuable skills that will greatly benefit my future development.

In this NEC competition, because this is the first time to participate in such a competition, I am still a little nervous about the competition, but through my own time to practice and help each other with my team members, I finally successfully promoted. The same thing made me more interested in business competitions. I hope I can do more to help the team get a better position in the competition.

It’s an honor for me to advance to the next step of the competition, as this is my first time participating in an economic competition. I’ve definitely learned a lot—teamwork, problem-solving, cooperation, and economic knowledge during the times we spent preparing for the competition.

National Economics Challenge

全美經(jīng)濟學學術活動（National Economics Challenge，簡稱NEC）是美國最具影響力的高中生經(jīng)濟學競賽，由美國經(jīng)濟教育學會（Council for Economic Education）舉辦。每年有超過20000名高中學生參加該競賽，超過20%的美國決賽選手被哈佛、耶魯、斯坦福等藤校錄取。NEC在2016年引入中國后，已覆蓋到20多個省份和地區(qū)、300余所學校，數(shù)千名財商學子從中受益。
