Semi-Annual Parents’ Day

　　為促進(jìn)學(xué)校、家長、教師之間的溝通，讓家長零距離了解學(xué)校的教育教學(xué)管理、以及孩子在校學(xué)習(xí)生活情況，凝聚學(xué)校與家長的管理智慧，共同促進(jìn)學(xué)生健康成長，2019年11月15日，北京市第五十五中學(xué)國際部學(xué)生部舉辦了家長日活動(dòng)。

　　On November 15, 2019, the International Students Section held a Parent’s Day event. The purpose of the event was to strengthen the communication between the school，parents and teachers. Additionally, the event familiarized parents with the school's academic program, management, and the progress of students’ achievements.

　　本次活動(dòng)的重點(diǎn)依然是家長與任課教師的“一對一”座談?；顒?dòng)當(dāng)天學(xué)生停課在家休息，家長按預(yù)先約定好的時(shí)間與相關(guān)任課教師進(jìn)行一對一的交流，這種個(gè)性化的咨詢方式讓家長有充分的時(shí)間全面了解孩子的在校情況，家長能夠更加有針對性的了解學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)和成長，教師在與家長充分溝通之后，共同為孩子擬定個(gè)性化成長方案。同時(shí)，學(xué)校也可以更加廣泛、更直接地聽取家長對學(xué)校工作的意見和建議，共同促進(jìn)學(xué)校的教育教學(xué)工作。

　　The event focused on "one-on-one" discussions between parents and teachers. On Parents’ Day, students stayed at home, while parents met with the teachers for consultations. This method of personalized interaction gave parents plenty of time to get a sense of how their children are doing in school, gaining centralized knowledge of students' learning and growth. After communicating with parents, teachers made a personal growth plan for the students. At the same time, the school is able get input from the parents and jointly promote education teaching in school.

　　活動(dòng)中，國際學(xué)生部還舉辦了MYP、DP、ManageBac等IB項(xiàng)目相關(guān)講座，在會(huì)議室為家長提供IB咨詢服務(wù)，家長們可以自己安排時(shí)間向負(fù)責(zé)教師咨詢IB項(xiàng)目的相關(guān)問題，包括 MYP項(xiàng)目、DP項(xiàng)目、課程特色、屏幕考試、升學(xué)咨詢等內(nèi)容，以滿足家長的不同需求。

　　During the event, our school held lectures on MYP, DP, ManageBac and other IB projects and provided IB consulting services to parents in the conference room. Parents were able to arrange their own time to confer about the IB projects, including MYP and DP project seminars, course features, e-assessment, and the content of promotion consultation, meeting the different needs of parents.

　　此次家長日活動(dòng)讓家長與教師、學(xué)校之間建立了良好的溝通關(guān)系,實(shí)現(xiàn)了真正意義上的交流, 體現(xiàn)了學(xué)校對家長和學(xué)生的理解和尊重，充分調(diào)動(dòng)了家長參與學(xué)校教育的積極性，促進(jìn)了教育和諧發(fā)展，形成教育合力，切實(shí)提升學(xué)校教育教學(xué)的實(shí)效性，獲得了家長們的高度評價(jià)。

　　This semester’s Parents' Day established and improved on the good relationships between parents, teachers, and the school, providing an opportunity for direct communication. It reflected the school's understanding and respect for both parents and students, effectively improving the transparency of the school’s curriculums and teaching methods, receiving high praise from parents.
