The New Year started just a few days ago, and we already have some great news: we are proud to announce that two of our students were among the winners of important painting competition, the 2020 Evonik Cup iDEAL Dining Painting Competition.
新年伊始，上海虹橋國(guó)際外籍人員子女學(xué)校的學(xué)生就帶來(lái)了在”理想餐桌“繪畫比賽中獲獎(jiǎng)的好消息，牛氣沖天地開啟了2021年的新篇章。
This competition, organized by Shanghai Daily, supported by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government Information Office, and sponsored by Evonik, is part of the Shanghai ?Daily's "iDEAL Dining: Eating Out and Helping Out" project which aims to sustain and demonstrate the local efforts against poverty and for the betterment of the social conditions in Shanghai and in China.
“理想餐桌”繪畫比賽由上海日?qǐng)?bào)社舉辦，贏創(chuàng)工業(yè)集團(tuán)贊助，上海市人民政府新聞辦公室予以支持。
比賽以公益為目的，以藝術(shù)為紐帶，來(lái)自不同文化背景的青少年兒童，用畫筆表達(dá)了他們對(duì)理想餐桌的理解。
386 students, from local schools and international schools, participated in the competition, but only 16 students have been selected as winners. Three of our students received awards, Our Grade 2 student Zhiluo Chao won the first prize.
本次比賽共計(jì)收到繪畫作品386幅，經(jīng)過兩個(gè)多月的評(píng)選，最終16幅作品脫穎而出。我校有3位學(xué)生獲獎(jiǎng)，其中我校G2的Zhiluo Chao同學(xué)獲得了本次比賽一等獎(jiǎng)！
Food is the first necessity for people.
In March, flowers are picked up to brew wine;
In June, fireflies light up the summer sky;
In October, walking on the paths we pick ears of rice,
All of which form another harvest year.
民以食為天——
三月拾花釀春，六月流螢染夏，
十月稻陌拾秋，又是一年豐登日。
The winner of the first prize, Zhiluo Chao, was also invited to participate in the award ceremony.
一等獎(jiǎng)獲得者Zhiluo Chao同學(xué)還受邀參加了頒獎(jiǎng)典禮，親身感受了一場(chǎng)視覺助農(nóng)之旅。

Inspired by the delicious hairy crabs served on the table, this wonderful and creative artwork portrays the plate as a planet, and the crab as a constellation.
作品靈感來(lái)源于餐桌上盤子里的美味大閘蟹，
由此展開藝術(shù)想象，把餐盤想象成星球，
把螃蟹想象成星座。
HQIS received a Certificate of Honor.
HQIS獲得了主辦方頒發(fā)的優(yōu)秀指導(dǎo)獎(jiǎng)。

Our students demonstrated their outstanding skills with the paintbrushes, and they were absolutely excited knowing that they won the competition. We have always been promoting eco-friendly and sustainable dining, and our hope is that more and more people can pay attention to food safety, health and sustainability.
我們的學(xué)生用畫筆向大家展現(xiàn)了心目中的理想餐桌，非常高興他們能在比賽中獲獎(jiǎng)。希望餐桌的安全、健康和可持續(xù)能得到越來(lái)越多人的關(guān)注與支持。
The iDEAL Dining competition theme is about the safety, health, and sustainability of a dining table, which is directly related to the HQIS philosophy. This philosophy, which is part of the HQIS Three Pillars of Excellence, is the core of our school ideology, and HQIS has been taking green initiatives since its foundation. These initiatives include the construction of our eco-friendly campus, the HQIS Earth Day, yearly tree-planting activities in Inner Mongolia, and many more.
理想餐桌的比賽主題致力于守護(hù)餐桌的安全、健康與可持續(xù)，與我校三大支柱教學(xué)理念中的生態(tài)意識(shí)息息相關(guān)。我校率先發(fā)起了地球日活動(dòng)、師生每年參與內(nèi)蒙古植樹活動(dòng)，整個(gè)學(xué)校社區(qū)的綠色校園設(shè)計(jì)......HQIS一直在不斷踐行和推廣綠色、環(huán)保、以及可持續(xù)發(fā)展的理念。
The students explored the meaning of sustainable development and expressed their ideas and views on their artworks. Congratulations to our winning students and to all the participants! Our school will always encourage our students to participate in extracurricular competitions and activities to broaden their horizons, develop social and personal skills, and become internationally-minded global citizens.
