With the graduation of our first High School students, SCBS Alumni Association was formally established. This platform encourages communication among our alumni and can promote the development of both our alumni and the school.
上海康德雙語實驗學(xué)校首屆高中生于近日順利畢業(yè)，校方也隨之舉行了校友會成立晚宴?？档码p語校友會是一個讓校友可以順暢交流的平臺、一個能更好為校友服務(wù)的平臺，一個可以讓校友和母校實現(xiàn)共同發(fā)展的平臺。
SCBS Founder and Chairman Mr. Francis Ping, Board Member Mr. David Yuan, Teacher Representatives Mr. Starkie and Mr. Tao CHEN, as well as Ms. Renkun ZHANG, an Oxford graduate and Concord College alumna, shared their insights into university studies, future careers and life in general. They encouraged our graduates to face future challenges bravely and live their life to the fullest.
康德雙語創(chuàng)始人兼理事長平凡先生、理事會理事袁文達(dá)先生，外方教師代表Starkie先生、中方教師代表陳濤先生，以及英國康德學(xué)院學(xué)長、畢業(yè)于牛津大學(xué)的張壬坤女士分別用不同的方式與畢業(yè)生分享探討了大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)、事業(yè)、人生等話題，鼓勵同學(xué)們勇敢面對未來的一切挑戰(zhàn)，以夢為馬，不負(fù)韶華。
From the perspective of Mr. Francis Ping, university life is about learning to live independently and thinking about your future career. He wished our graduates health and a prosperous future, expecting them to have both integrity and strong abilities.
在平凡先生看來，大學(xué)意味著學(xué)習(xí)獨立的生活，一切都要學(xué)會自己規(guī)劃和執(zhí)行;大學(xué)意味著對未來工作的思考，尋找最適合自己未來發(fā)展的路徑。他代表學(xué)校祝愿每一位畢業(yè)生在未來都能夠身心健康、德才兼?zhèn)洹⑶俺趟棋\、一帆風(fēng)順!
Cindy Meng, who received a conditional offer from the University of Oxford, shared her unforgettable moments at SCBS, including her first school day, performance rehearsals for the annual winter concert, and a trip to Mount Mogan with her classmates and teachers. At the end of her speech, she said emotionally, "Today, we have graduated. As the first alumni of Shanghai Concord Bilingual School, we will still be members of Concord even when in years to come we make our mark, wherever we may be in the world. I wish for green pastures for all of us in the future and that we may all find fulfillment and success as we pursue our chosen paths.”
校友會成立當(dāng)晚，收獲牛津大學(xué)預(yù)錄取通知書的孟興一同學(xué)和大家分享了她在康德雙語那些難忘的時刻。滿懷憧憬踏入校門開啟屬于自己獨一無二的高中生涯、為一年一度的迎新匯演用心準(zhǔn)備表演節(jié)目、與老師和同學(xué)同游莫干山……發(fā)言最后，她動情地說道：“今天，我們正式畢業(yè)了，作為康德雙語的第一屆校友，即使多年以后，當(dāng)我們學(xué)業(yè)有成，身在異鄉(xiāng)時，我們?nèi)允强档氯恕Ｔ肝覀兏髯耘?，不去想未來是平坦還是泥濘，最終頂峰相見?！?/p>
Mr. David Yuan shared his experience of studying at MIT and how he found his calling in life. He encouraged the students to find the smartest people they can and surround themselves with them, because working with smart people means that they will be challenged to do their best. In addition, David expected the students to be kind when they do things and pursue their dreams in life.
理事會理事袁文達(dá)先生與同學(xué)們分享了他在麻省理工學(xué)院的學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)歷以及找到個人職業(yè)發(fā)展方向的故事。他希望同學(xué)們能夠與聰明人一起共事，使自身變得更加優(yōu)秀。另外袁文達(dá)先生還希望同學(xué)們在追逐夢想的過程中要盡可能地保持友善，這樣世界將會變得更美好。
Ms. Renkun ZHANG, an Oxford graduate and Concord College alumna, is now one of the partners at Genki Forest, a popular beverage brand in China. In partnership with its sister school Concord College in the UK, SCBS enjoys a culture of achievement, pursuing academic excellence whilst encouraging its students to be the very best they can be. Based on her rich experience of studying abroad, Ms. Renkun ZHANG suggested that the students have more communication with foreign peers in the university, develop good habits, attach importance to academic performance, and maintain the independence of thinking.
張壬坤女士是英國康德的校友，她畢業(yè)于牛津大學(xué)，目前是元氣森林的合伙人?？档码p語承襲其姊妹學(xué)校英國康德的學(xué)術(shù)傳統(tǒng)，始終追求學(xué)術(shù)卓越，鼓勵學(xué)生成為最好的自己。張壬坤女士以其豐富的海外求學(xué)經(jīng)驗和體會，給同學(xué)們提出了一些十分中肯的建議。她建議同學(xué)們在大學(xué)里多與外國同學(xué)交流、培養(yǎng)一些好的習(xí)慣、重視學(xué)習(xí)成績，以及保持思維的獨立性。
Mr. Tao CHEN wished the graduates enthusiasm, strength, firmness, flexibility, confidence, modesty, enterprise, freedom, gentleness, and reason, expecting them to become brave persons who are affectionate and righteous. Mr. Starkie stressed that life is a journey, not a destination.
陳濤老師祝愿同學(xué)們在未來的日子里熱情而不沖動，剛強而不霸道，堅定而不頑固，變通而不圓滑，自信而不傲慢，謙虛而不自卑，進(jìn)取而不功利，自由而不放縱，溫和而不懦弱，理性而不冷漠，做一個有情有義的勇敢的人。Starkie老師希望同學(xué)們在為各自目標(biāo)努力奮斗的同時，也要好好享受生命中的每個過程。
Finally, we expect our alumni to uphold and carry forward the school’s core values ‘Harmony, Trust, and Decency’ across the world through the alumni association. We look forward to our frequent reunions in the future.
