Blended Learning: A New Task for Teachers In the Digital Age
12月24日上午,一場(chǎng)主題為“異曲同工”的教師專業(yè)發(fā)展活動(dòng)在甄陶樓演播廳舉行。上海中學(xué)國(guó)際部初小段全體教師參加了這場(chǎng)聚焦于“混合式教學(xué)”的學(xué)科應(yīng)用分享會(huì)。課堂教學(xué)和線上學(xué)習(xí),這兩者雖為“異曲”,但老師們卻“同工”于把兩者巧妙銜接、融為一體,為孩子們精心打造出一個(gè)豐富有效、突破時(shí)空的新課堂!
On the morning of December 24th, the middle and primary sections teachers attended the professional development conference at the lecture hall, Zhentao Building. The Conference focused on the theme of sharing successful practices for combining classroom learning and online courses, exploring effective ways of creating wonderful learning experiences for students.
分享會(huì)開場(chǎng),主持人倪敏學(xué)老師由一個(gè)“?”(zhǎn,意為工匠們展示成衣)字入手,引出了今天大會(huì)的主題:展示老師們的精心杰作!正如“?”(展)字所表達(dá)的那樣:老師們分工合作,突破課堂環(huán)境限制,采用線上線下“混合”的教學(xué)方式,打破了時(shí)間和空間的限制,為學(xué)生全方位、多渠道整合優(yōu)質(zhì)、原創(chuàng)的學(xué)習(xí)資源。“工欲善其事,必先利其器”——在網(wǎng)絡(luò)課程打磨上,教師們更是“刻意求工”,運(yùn)用各種軟件優(yōu)化課程設(shè)計(jì)與課堂活動(dòng),調(diào)動(dòng)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的積極性和主動(dòng)性,循序漸進(jìn)地培養(yǎng)學(xué)生發(fā)現(xiàn)問題、分析問題和解決問題的能力,不但引導(dǎo)學(xué)生形成良好的學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣,更為孩子們提供了良好的“線上學(xué)習(xí)社區(qū)”體驗(yàn)。
Mr. Ni, the host of the PD Conference, started the sharing session by introducing a Chinese character “?” (zhǎn), which echoed the excellent work of our brilliant teachers on extending classroom learning into online courses. The middle and primary teachers have succeeded in many aspects working together to design and implement online courses. These courses have not only unlocked flexibility in time and space but offered students access to adequate, original, high-quality learning resources.
國(guó)際部初小段十二位教師,李解、董曉青、葛旭媚、許欣妍、鄭雯寅、杜桐、鄒月、陳冰心、劉銘、金菁、劉冬和于錫文老師,分別代表各學(xué)科組上臺(tái)分享了“混合式學(xué)習(xí)”的應(yīng)用經(jīng)驗(yàn)與亮點(diǎn)。小學(xué)漢語(yǔ)組重點(diǎn)介紹了“創(chuàng)意寫作周”與“漢字英雄周”的活動(dòng);小學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)組在“數(shù)學(xué)周”活動(dòng)的基礎(chǔ)上,展示了各類生動(dòng)有趣的線上課件與課堂活動(dòng);初中數(shù)學(xué)組則通過(guò)學(xué)生反饋,展現(xiàn)了學(xué)生在課題的自主學(xué)習(xí)能力;初中物理和科學(xué)組也分別介紹了具有學(xué)科特色的應(yīng)用模式。壓軸的是初中漢語(yǔ)組,三位平時(shí)深藏不露的高手,以精彩的相聲表演,展示了漢語(yǔ)學(xué)科特色活動(dòng),將本次分享會(huì)的氣氛推向了高潮。正在歡度假期的外教代表,也通過(guò)視頻參與了分享。
Twelve teachers, as the representatives of subject departments, shared their practices and ideas on creating blended learning courses. Ms. Li and Ms. Dong focused on two major Chinese learning activities conducted by Primary Chinese Department —Creative Writing Week and Chinese Character Week. On top of Math Week, Ms. Ge and Ms. Xu introduced a variety of interesting and engaging online courses and classroom activities created by the primary school math team. Following the primary school presentations, three middle school math teachers, Ms. Zheng, Ms. Du, and Ms. Zou demonstrated how students were motivated to research and learn from real-life projects. Also, Middle School Biology and Physics Departments added new thoughts with their distinctive attempts to meet students’ needs. The middle school Chinese department Xiangsheng (crosstalk) show impressed the audience with how Chinese teachers created fun and memorable language experiences for students. The foreign teachers also joined this discussion with their pre-recorded videos and thus provided much useful support for teachers to figure out how to make blended learning work.
分享過(guò)程中,張怡、朱丹、劉芳、嚴(yán)曾、沈天園等幾位主任分別對(duì)老師的精彩演講作了點(diǎn)評(píng)。他們充分肯定了老師們的終身學(xué)習(xí)意識(shí),更為老師們?yōu)榭朔刂乩щy,努力開發(fā)極具學(xué)科特色、豐富有效的“混合式學(xué)習(xí)”模式而點(diǎn)贊!包國(guó)紅副校長(zhǎng)在總結(jié)發(fā)言中,對(duì)老師們?cè)谂囵B(yǎng)“面向未來(lái)的學(xué)習(xí)者”的路上,所付出的心血與汗水,所打造的優(yōu)質(zhì)課程,表達(dá)了由衷的贊嘆和敬意!
At the sharing session, the directors of each school section commented on the teachers’ wonderful reports. They recognized the efforts of every teacher as they engaged in lifelong learning, underwent many difficulties, and developed effective blended learning experiences for students. Next, Ms. Bao, the vice principle of middle and primary school, expressed her respect and gratitude for what the teachers have contributed to preparing future learners.
分享會(huì)的尾聲,主持人以兩個(gè)9字,引得大家深思其義——“行穩(wěn)致遠(yuǎn),久久為功”,在“混合式學(xué)習(xí)”探索之路上,還須持之以恒、鍥而不舍、馳而不息才能成功!
In the end, Mr. Ni concluded the conference by sharing with the Chinese saying “行穩(wěn)致遠(yuǎn),久久為功” and emphasized the importance of perseverance. As educators, we will have to continue to examine and explore blended learning methods to facilitate student learning and development.
