《Fix You》——音樂之夜表演曲目

歌唱中的孩子們陶醉地閉上了眼,空靈美妙的和聲為這首撫平傷痛、吟唱生命的歌曲增添了溫情與童真。這就是音樂帶給人的治愈。

這首火遍全世界的經(jīng)典歌曲由BISS音樂老師Isabel與NACIS音樂老師Linda老師共同指導(dǎo),并由BISS和NACIS的合唱團(tuán)演唱。幾公里之隔的兩所學(xué)校在這個(gè)萬物寄暖的季節(jié),用音樂觸及所有人心底柔軟的角落。

幾周以來,上海閔行區(qū)諾德安達(dá)雙語學(xué)校(NACIS)與上海英國外籍人員子女學(xué)校(BISS)的老師與學(xué)生們都在為這場音樂會(huì)進(jìn)行著緊鑼密鼓的籌備與排練。盡管因?yàn)橐咔椋魳窌?huì)曾改期延遲,但兩所學(xué)校合作的熱情卻從未被澆滅。

經(jīng)過三天時(shí)間的高強(qiáng)度聯(lián)合排練,最終圓滿地呈現(xiàn)給NACIS與BISS大家庭。這場音樂會(huì)也是NACIS與BISS的首度合作,未來兩所學(xué)校之間藝術(shù)活動(dòng)也形成常態(tài)。

站在臨時(shí)臺(tái)階上的指揮

一場350位表演者的演出

A SHOW OF 350 PERFORMERS

近兩個(gè)小時(shí)的表演最后,壓軸曲目即將上演。電影配樂大師漢斯季莫譜曲的《Earth》由來自BISS與NACIS各個(gè)學(xué)部的合唱團(tuán)、發(fā)展中樂團(tuán)、管弦樂團(tuán)共同演繹。

350余名學(xué)生及老師,9個(gè)表演藝術(shù)團(tuán),10余種樂器合奏,一場規(guī)??涨暗谋硌菡贜ACIS的劇院上演。指揮Mr. Jamie為了能獲得更好的視野,不得不站在了臨時(shí)的臺(tái)階上。宏大的音樂之下,合唱團(tuán)的成員全程用 “哦” 進(jìn)行哼唱。

在那一刻,無需語言,音符足矣。

這一次的音樂會(huì)曲目中有很多是全新的曲目,不管對(duì)于老師還是學(xué)生來說都是全新的挑戰(zhàn),要在三天時(shí)間里進(jìn)行練習(xí),磨合及呈現(xiàn)。經(jīng)歷了一次大排練,多次小排練,我們欣喜地看到老師和孩子們都全情投入在集體創(chuàng)作的氛圍中。

周三的下午,正在進(jìn)行合唱排練的小學(xué)劇院里傳來了陣陣笑聲。課間,BISS表演藝術(shù)項(xiàng)目負(fù)責(zé)人,曾有專業(yè)演員經(jīng)驗(yàn)的Mr. Nigel帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生進(jìn)行了一段即興表演。

假設(shè)你現(xiàn)在正在車站等車,從現(xiàn)在開始,你只能運(yùn)用你的肢體語言。

你是一條魚,當(dāng)你看到了正在等車的人類,你會(huì)怎樣與他交流?

現(xiàn)在如果需要加入一個(gè)新的角色,你們會(huì)如何續(xù)寫這個(gè)故事?

學(xué)生即興表演中

在看似玩鬧的互動(dòng)中,學(xué)生們?cè)趩l(fā)式的引導(dǎo)中逐漸打開自己,兩個(gè)學(xué)校的學(xué)生開始有了更多的互動(dòng)交流。我們也發(fā)現(xiàn),即興表演結(jié)束后,同學(xué)們的聲音更加響亮,和聲越發(fā)默契。

同學(xué)們不僅取得了優(yōu)異的表演藝術(shù)成績,更難能可貴的是通過這些天的排練,對(duì)于團(tuán)隊(duì)協(xié)作意識(shí)有了更深刻的感悟和體驗(yàn)。

在此次音樂之夜的準(zhǔn)備過程中,來自BISS及NACIS兩所學(xué)校20+位表演藝術(shù)教師,為學(xué)生帶來了干貨滿滿的表演藝術(shù)集訓(xùn)課。

通過單人授課、協(xié)同授課及團(tuán)隊(duì)授課的教學(xué)模式,進(jìn)行了個(gè)性化的課程教授。琴曲合奏間,不僅僅是音樂的交流,更是教學(xué)方法,教育資源的高效共享。我們的孩子也和老師建立了亦師亦友的奇妙聯(lián)系。

本次音樂之夜最令人享受的便是我們既可以帶領(lǐng)樂團(tuán)表演,也可以和學(xué)生一起進(jìn)行合奏表演。

我喜歡大號(hào)和電吉他,但是我在此次的演出中將參與到三首歌曲的演唱。

我是NACIS合唱隊(duì)成員,這次表演我有機(jī)會(huì)和來自BISS的合唱隊(duì)進(jìn)行合作。對(duì)我來說又新鮮又挑戰(zhàn),也認(rèn)識(shí)了許多喜歡唱歌的新朋友!

對(duì)于同學(xué)們來說,排練的過程是辛苦的,但也是快樂的。我們欣喜地發(fā)現(xiàn),我們的學(xué)生沒有單單局限在自己擅長的領(lǐng)域,而是勇敢嘗試了不同的表演形式,在舞臺(tái)上找到了全新的角色。

著眼于全人教育的教學(xué)目標(biāo),學(xué)生們將課堂中所學(xué)的專業(yè)知識(shí)與興趣結(jié)合,通過學(xué)習(xí)、研究、發(fā)現(xiàn)與反思,不斷找尋自己的獨(dú)特性及潛力。在這個(gè)過程中,我們的老師也身體力行地踐行著全人教育的教育使命,鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生從不同的挑戰(zhàn)中抓住不同的成長機(jī)會(huì)。

在這次參與表演的教師團(tuán)隊(duì)中,有表演藝術(shù)的授課老師,也有英語學(xué)科組的老師,也有化學(xué)老師。今晚,我們都是音樂的傳遞者及終身學(xué)習(xí)的挑戰(zhàn)者。

孩子們?cè)谖枧_(tái)上的呈現(xiàn)并非完美無缺,但這也正是不可多得的學(xué)習(xí)和成長的過程和機(jī)會(huì),是他們延展生命的另一種途徑,或許會(huì)生出不一樣的感受,獲取不一樣的意義。對(duì)孩子們來說,和伙伴們一起付出時(shí)間和精力、一起克服困難、一起花費(fèi)心血共同做一件熱愛的事,本身就是成長路上難得的經(jīng)歷??吹胶⒆觽?nèi)橥度氲厝ハ硎芪枧_(tái),享受集體創(chuàng)作的過程,教育的目的已經(jīng)達(dá)到了。

語言的盡頭,是音樂。就像本次音樂會(huì)的小主持人Emily(兼大提琴演奏及合唱表演)說:音樂會(huì)像天使一樣飛在空中,希望音樂永遠(yuǎn)陪伴我們。

今天,我們從音樂中感受到了生命的勃勃力量,謝謝所有參與到這場音樂盛會(huì)的諾德安達(dá)學(xué)子們!

《Fix You》——Repertoire on the Music Night

This classic song, popular all over the world was jointly directed by Ms. Isabel from BISS and Ms. Linda from NACIS and sung by the BISS and NACIS choirs at our recent joint concert. It was lovely that our two schools, separated by only a few kilometers, could inspire everyone with some lovely music.

MUSIC NIGHT THROWBACK

For several weeks, teachers and students from NACIS and BISS have been preparing and rehearsing for the concert. Although the concert was rescheduled and postponed due to the epidemic, the enthusiasm of the two schools for cooperation has never been extinguished. After three days of high-intensity rehearsal, the concert was finally successfully presented to the NACIS and BISS families. It’s the first first large scale Performing Arts collaboration between NACIS and BISS. We look forward to many more events in the future.

At the end of the nearly two-hour performance, the finale "Earth" composed by Mr. Hans Zimmer was performed by choirs, training orchestras and orchestras from BISS and NACIS. More than 350 students and teachers, 9 performing arts groups, and over 10 types of musical instrument ensembles gave an unprecedented performance in the NACIS theater. In order to get a better view, Mr. Jamie, the conductor had to stand on a specially created platform. Under this powerful music, the members of the choir hummed with "oh" throughout. In the moment, no words are needed with the wonderful music.

Many repertoires are brand-new, which are new challenges for both teachers and students. They needed to be practiced, adjusted and presented in three days. After a large rehearsal and several small rehearsals, we are delighted to see that teachers and children are fully engaged in the performance.

On Wednesday afternoon, there were bursts of laughter in the primary theatre where the chorus rehearsals were taking place. During the break, Mr. D’Souza, Director of BISS performing arts, who has prior experience as a professional actor, led the students to perform an impromptu performance.

Suppose you are waiting at the station, and you can only use body language from now on.

If you were a fish, how would you communicate with him when you see a human being waiting for the train?

How would you continue the story if you need to add a new character?

Impromptu Performance

In the seemingly playful interaction, students gradually broadened their mind under the heuristic guidance, and began to have more interactive communication with each other. We also found that students’ voices became louder with more tacit harmony.

Students not only achieved excellent performances in performing arts, but also gained a deeper understanding of teamwork awareness through rehearsals.

During the preparation,over 20 performing arts teachers from BISS and NACIS ran full-fledged performing arts training classes. They carried out personalized teaching through individual teaching, collaborative teaching and team teaching. During the ensemble, they explored the music and shared teaching methods and educational resources. Students also built a friendly relationship with teachers.

The most enjoyable part of the music evening is that we can not only lead an orchestra, but also perform ensemble performances with students.

As a member of the NACIS choir, I had the opportunity to collaborate with the BISS choir in the performance. It was a new challenge for me, and I met many new friends who like to sing!

For students, the rehearsal process was hard but joyful. We are delighted to find that our students are not limited to their areas of expertise but have tried different forms of performance and found new roles on the stage.

Based on the goal of holistic education, students combined professional knowledge with interests to find their uniqueness and potential through study, research, discovery and reflection. In the process, our teachers also practised the holistic educational mission and encouraged students to gain different growth opportunities from different challenges.

Teachers participating in the performance include performing arts teachers, English teachers, and chemistry teachers. Tonight, we are all messengers of music and challengers of lifelong learning.

ENDING NOTES

Children's presentation on the stage is not perfect, but it is a rare process and opportunity for learning and growth. It is another way for them to extend their lives and obtain different feelings, experiences and significance. This is a great experience for them to spend time in overcoming difficulties and doing things they love together. We have achieved the purpose of education while seeing students devote themselves to performance and collective creation.

The end of language is music. Just like the young host of the concert, Emily (also a cello player and a chorus performer) said: “Music flies in the air like an angel, and I hope music will always accompany us”. Today, we feel the vitality of life from music. Thank students for participating in this music event!
