Dear Parents and Guardians,

新學(xué)年開學(xué)在即，我們又將共同度過激動(dòng)人心的一學(xué)年。歡迎今年加入廣州耀華國際教育學(xué)校的新家庭，我們期待在新學(xué)年的各項(xiàng)活動(dòng)中與你們會(huì)面。在耀華，我們鼓勵(lì)家長與學(xué)校充分溝通、反饋，也期望家長給予學(xué)校最大的支持。通過家校共同的努力，我們的學(xué)生定將會(huì)獲得最好的教育和最愉快的學(xué)習(xí)體驗(yàn)。

We are delighted to welcome you to another exciting new year here at the Yew Wah International Education School of Guangzhou.We want to extend a special welcome to those families joining us at Yew Wah for the first time and look forward to seeing all of you at the various events throughout the semester. Please remember that we encourage as much communication and support from home as possible: it is a combined effort to ensure that all the students have the best education and the happiest experience at our School.

耀華的教育理念倡導(dǎo)全人教育，全人教育涵蓋了學(xué)術(shù)成就，批判性思維，品格發(fā)展，藝術(shù)天賦，音樂才能和體育技能發(fā)展。本學(xué)年學(xué)校將有一些新的教學(xué)和非教學(xué)成員加入，他們將繼續(xù)為學(xué)生們提供優(yōu)質(zhì)的課程和豐富的課外活動(dòng)機(jī)會(huì)。學(xué)校自創(chuàng)校伊始，就建立了一個(gè)強(qiáng)大的學(xué)習(xí)型社區(qū)，這和我們所有教學(xué)員工、非教學(xué)員工、學(xué)生和家長的付出是分不開的。

We promote a holistic education for our students, based around a focus on academic achievements, critical thinking, character development, artistic flair, musical talent and physical skills development. We have a number of new academic and non-academic staff joining the School this semester who will continue to enhance the outstanding curricular and extra-curricular opportunities for the students. We have built a strong community of learning since our foundation as a school which includes our staff (academic and non-academic), students and parent community.

今年，學(xué)校將繼續(xù)提供一系列的課堂內(nèi)、外學(xué)習(xí)活動(dòng)，引導(dǎo)、鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生激發(fā)自己最大的潛能。您將會(huì)注意到我們的很多新舉措，包括餐廳的升級、停車場的改造、小學(xué)STEAM教室的新建，幼兒園的個(gè)人成長計(jì)劃，小學(xué)英語使用IXL軟件來提升學(xué)生的英語能力，中學(xué)通過LitPr平臺(tái)來培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的英語閱讀習(xí)慣；學(xué)校的各項(xiàng)工作我們都精益求精。游學(xué)項(xiàng)目也是我們課程的一個(gè)重要組成部分，我們希望學(xué)生們的學(xué)習(xí)不只局限在教室內(nèi)，還要在“真實(shí)世界”里學(xué)習(xí)。在耀華，我們?yōu)閷W(xué)生提供諸多這樣的學(xué)習(xí)機(jī)會(huì)！

This year we will continue to focus on guiding students in developing and reach their full potential by providing them with a wide variety of learning experiences both in and outside of the classroom and you will note a number of new initiatives ranging from improving the Canteen environment and parking facilities, more co-curricular clubs and activities, launch of our digital library, Primary STEAM room and individual children planning for ECE. Adopting the “IXL” platform to help primary students with their English skills, and the “LitPro” platform to cultivate secondary students English reading habits. Underpinning all of this is the “milestone planning” for university guidance to provide both parents and students a clearer understanding of the application process for universities. Education trips will play an important aspect of our curriculum, as we want our students to not just learn in the school, but also out in the “real world”. There are so many fantastic opportunities for students at Yew Wah!

The expectations and standards which we place upon students and staff are very high and we are committed to ensure that students work hard to achieve their potential, and take every opportunity to develop their character and interpersonal skills as part of their own journey of personal development. Our aim is to ensure that whatever the hopes and ambitions of our students, that they are successful in whatever they choose as a career in the future.
